ASCB has renamed the tiers of its training accreditation schemes. The three tiers of TP:2025, the Training Provider Standard, and TC:2025, the Training Course Standard, are now Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3, previously Levels 1 to 3.

The word changed because the tiers are not a progression. A provider does not work up through them; it is accredited at the type that matches its operation. Type 1 covers a training function within a business, Type 2 a corporate training department, and Type 3 an organization or institute whose primary business is training delivery. The course scheme has its own three types, an Individual course module, and add-ons for virtual and eLearning delivery.

The schemes cover any structured training an organization delivers, from onboarding and compliance training to commercial courses, in classroom, virtual or eLearning form.

The requirements are unchanged. Existing accreditations and assessments of current applicants are unaffected, and certificate naming will be adjusted at the next certificate reissue. Client-facing guides and application forms already use the new naming, and the standards documents are being reissued in the same terms under their current designations.
