What is ASCB TC:2025 training course accreditation?
ASCB TC:2025 is a published standard against which ASCB accredits an individual training course. Accreditation against ASCB TC:2025 is independent third-party assessment of the course itself: the training need it was built to meet, its design and learning objectives, the learner and trainer materials, the delivery method, how learners are assessed, how the course is version controlled and improved, and how fairly and accessibly it is run. A course can be accredited on its own, through the Individual course module, or as one of the courses held by an accredited training provider. A plain-English summary of what the standard requires is in the Standards Library: ASCB TC:2025 overview.
Why accredit a training course?
A course certificate is only as good as the checking behind it, and a buyer comparing two courses has almost nothing to compare. Accreditation against a published standard gives the buyer something checkable: the course has been assessed against requirements that are published and can be read, by a body that had no part in building it.
ASCB TC:2025 also looks past the end of the course. It draws on Kirkpatrick Level 3 and Level 4 evaluation, which ask whether the learning was applied back at work and whether it changed anything, rather than stopping at attendance and a completion rate. That is the part of the training argument that a finance director asks about and most course certificates cannot answer.
Does ASCB accreditation certify the learner?
No. ASCB accredits the course and, under ASCB TP:2025, the provider that delivers it. ASCB does not examine, test or certify the individual learner, and does not state that a person is competent. What the learner receives is a record on the IRQAO register that an accredited course was completed, carrying a validation document with a QR code that an employer or a buyer can check, free, in seconds. The record is of completed training, not of competence.
Does an accredited course satisfy a regulatory or qualification requirement?
Not by itself. Where training is tied to a statutory scheme, a licensing scheme or a named awarding organization, that requirement has to be met in the way the scheme sets out, and ASCB accreditation does not substitute for it. For the majority of training that is not regulated in that way, accreditation is a voluntary mark of the disciplines behind the course, and whether it serves a particular purpose is confirmed with the body setting the requirement. ASCB recommends that check is made before applying rather than after.
How much does ASCB TC:2025 accreditation cost, and how do I get a quotation?
Fees are quoted individually rather than published as a single price list, because the standard is tiered to the scale of the training operation and that scale determines how much assessment sampling is required. To give you an accurate quotation, ASCB asks four questions:
- How many delegates or students do you train per year by live delivery, in person or virtual?
- How many delegates or students do you train per year by eLearning?
- How many active courses would you provide? An active course is one delivered or offered in the last 12 months.
- Which courses would be accredited, and what are their durations?
Send your answers through the Contact page and ASCB will come back with a quotation. Quotations are issued in US dollars; ASCB can quote and invoice in pounds sterling or euros for applicants in the United Kingdom or the Eurozone. Both the quotation and the terms of engagement are confirmed before your application is formally accepted, so you can read everything before committing to anything.
What is the next step?
The natural first step is pricing: use the Contact page and choose "I have a question about applying for accreditation", including your answers to the four questions above, and ASCB will come back with the route and the cost for your course or courses. There is no charge for the conversation and no obligation to proceed.
