Validation and Verification Bodies (VVBs) ISO/IEC 17029

VVB accreditation is commonly sought for the validation and verification of greenhouse gas (GHG) information in accordance with the ISO 14064 series. Organizations seeking accreditation to validate or verify GHG inventories, projects, or organizational GHG statements under ISO 14064 may apply within this scope.

Application Information

Applicants should refer to the following documents before submitting an application:

VVB Accreditation Summary

Overview of accreditation requirements, scope definition, and assessment approach.

Application Form - Validation and Verification Bodies (ISO/IEC 17029)

Formal application for accreditation, including scope declaration.

Fees Schedule - Validation and Verification Bodies

Applicable application, assessment, and ongoing accreditation fees.

These documents set out the requirements and arrangements for accreditation. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their proposed scope and activities align with the applicable standards.

ISO 14064 Scope

Where accreditation is sought for greenhouse gas validation or verification, the declared scope should clearly identify the relevant ISO 14064 applications, such as inventories, projects, or organizational GHG statements, as applicable.

As well as the above publications, all applicant organisations must be aware of the General Requirements ASCB documents.  These can be accessed from the 'How do I apply?' page.
